			<description>Not wishing to cause any disrespect, but was Durnford capable of commanding at Isandlwana. I have read about his account a Bushman's River Pass, which did not seem to go to well.



During the Zulu War Lord Chelmsford threatened him with loss of command.



He either didn't know or failed to tell his troopers where their ammo point was located as Isandlwana.

It was a circle on top of a tripod. The owner didn't know, but would like to know. So doe's anyone knows what this indicates.

This medal is on Ebay at the moment and lists the recipient as 32 COY pte T. ROBERTS R.M.L.I POD







Now I can not find a T. Roberts listed on the Medal Roll, but can find a Daniel Roberts, Private Royal Marines, HMS Shah.

Going back to the medal inscription, does anyone know what the POD stands for on the Medal   </description>

Over the last few days a neighbours house was broken into and some medals were stolen.

In particular is a set from Brig Peter Sydney Rich, ex SAS. They were awarded for campaigns in Korea, Malaysia and Rhodesia.

Also from Lt Reeve awarded for WW 2.

'lord chelmsford stated the attack on bromheads camp at rorkes drift was repulsed in the most brilliant manor. two of the defenders were killed and when day light came it revealed 100 dead zululs around the fortified position'

			<description><![CDATA[Crealock states in the court of inquiry that he lost his notebook. How important would the information contained in this notebook have been relating to Isandlwana?

Do other member’s think that the notebook was lost or disposed of intentionally.  I'm trying to work out why Crealock would have said his notebook was lost if it wasn't. What did he have to lose.
